Does it look like a pimple or a spot or anything else ? How to recognize it? Then the answer is that they are not like skin popped out or swollen red spots, in fact tags are small outgrowths from the skin that almost hangs from the skin outwards, its base is a small one as compared to the whole tag, it is attached with a small attachment to the skin layer called “peduncle”.

Removing skin tags with nail polish:
Yes, it is true skin tags can be removed by using nail polish. We can not say it a home remedy because it is not a natural and a safe one (not for everyone). But because nail polish is present in almost everyone’s home , so Yes! It can be called as a home remedy to treat the skin tag . You don’t at all need to consult your doctor for using this method because nail polish is not medically proven for skin tag removal , so we can only check it by trial and error method. Following are the steps you should follow:
- Clean the skin tag with a mild soap and rinse it with warm water so that the area is dirt free.
- Then in the morning apply a coat of nail polish on the tag and then put a bandage on that area.
- In the evening, again cover the tag with another coat of nail polish and change the bandage .
- The next morning remove the bandage and clean the nail polish with nail polish remover and again repeat the steps. Repeat for almost 1-2 weeks.
The main purpose of this method is to block the oxygen and blood supply to the skin tag. For some people this method has worked to while for others it was not a good remedy. If it works then the tag will start to become black in color and will soon fall off. People with diabetes or poor blood circulation should not try this method.
